Fashion Fridays: Menswear

Hello, Lovelies!
For this weeks post, I debated several different ideas but finally settled on one of my favorite things: Menswear. Now, as the avid shopper I am, I love to shop for myself. However, I do have a great passion for the styling of a well-dress man. Well-groomed, classy and clean cut are three of my favorite words when it comes to men's fashion. Some of you may find this slightly weird, but I think as the fashionable ladies we are, we gotta help the fellas out. I mean, they really do need it. So boys, here's a few of my favorite things that guys wear...

Short Sleeve Button-Ups

DIY Favorites

Hello, Lovelies!
Now, for quite a few years I have been obsessed with diy beauty tips. I've always loved the whole creation and using different (and sometimes odd) ingredients for a beauty purpose. When I was really young I used to mix up a bunch of lotions and call it a "mask" or mix perfumes to create my own signature scent. As you might have guessed, these experiments normally didn't go so well. But, more recently I have been trying out a few different diy experiments and I quite liked them so I thought I'd share!

Greek Yogurt Mask from LaurenConrad.com
I did this one just recently and it was sooo good! It leaves your skin really smooth and soft while preventing acne and reducing redness.

Lemon Salt Scrub from TheBeautyDepartment.com
I've used this one a lot! It's been one of my all-time favorites and its simply amazing. It smells so good and it really simple to make. I highly recommend this scrub as well as their website.

DIY Nail Polish from Pinterest
I tried this over the summer and it was so cool! I took an old taupe eye shadow I never used and added it to a cheap clear bottle and it worked amazing!

Hailey

Replay: Songs I can't stop listening to.

     Hello, Lovelies!
About two years ago the music industry was in a lull. Everything that was being produced was not at all my taste. Nicki Minaj, Justin Beiber, Carly Rae Jepsen, etc. (You get my point.) Well, I'm proud to say that now I think the music industry in on fire! Seriously. Ellie Goulding, OneRepublic, Mackelmore...it's all great and all different!
I want to say personally, thank you, music producers, for putting tasteful music back on the radio and back on the charts.
So, it's that time again. The top five songs I can't stop listening to.

Wake Me Up - Avicii

You & I - Crystal Fighters

Burn - Ellie Goulding

Love Me Again - John Newman

Dear Darlin' - Olly Murs

     Affectionally,
     Morgan

Oh, Holden

Hello, Lovelies!
I read the book The Catcher in the Rye a few summers ago and it has since been one of my all-time favorite books. I find the story to be very real and raw, but also portrays a very complex character in a very un-complex way. It's this simplicity that J.D. Salinger writes with that makes the story so enjoyable. It is more relatable that way. I like the way you fall in love with this character based on his honesty and blatant thoughts. I wish more people in the world were this way. They;re all so hard to figure out. But not Holden. His simple sincerity makes the reader fall completely in love with him. J.D. Salinger's writing style is one of my favorites and I hope to read more of his works in the future. To finish up my little thought, I'm going to add a couple of my favorite quotes from the book. Hope you enjoy.

"She wasn't doing a thing that I could see, except standing there, leaning on the balcony railing, holding the universe together."

"Don't ever tell anybody anything. If you do, you start missing everybody."

"Anyway, I keep picturing all these little kids playing some game in this big field of rye and all. Thousands of little kids, and nobody's around - nobody big, I mean - except me. And I'm standing on the edge of some crazy cliff. What I have do to, I have to catch everybody if they start to go over the cliff - I mean if they're running and they don't look where they're going I have to come out from somewhere and catch them. That's all I do all day. I'd just be the catcher in the rye and all. I know it's crazy, but that's the only thing I'd really like to be."

"I can't explain what I mean. And even if I could, I'm not sure I'd feel like it."

"I don't even know what I was running for - I guess I just felt like it."

Hailey

Photo Diary: New York City

Hello, Lovelies!
The first four days of this past week I spent in New York City with my family. I also happened to be able to spend part of my 17th birthday in New York and that was really fun. We did lots of shopping, eating, sight-seeing, walking(ugh) and much more! So here is a little photo diary of the places we went/things we did. Enjoy!
